Dear Friends & Family,

For those that don’t know, I have been going through a really hard time with my sweet Dad. In June we moved him from his home that he lived in for 30+ years independently to Springfield, OH into an Independent Living (IL) Condo. After 3 falls and multiple trips to the ER, we finally moved him into a beautiful Assisted Living (AL) facility last Saturday. While Jeff and Adam managed moving him from IL to AL, I traveled back home to Michigan to clean out his house, collect any important memorabilia so we could get it on the market. Let me tell you, this was no easy task. My Dad saves EVERYTHING! If it weren’t for Lily Rose Senior Move Specialist and specifically the owner, Liz Good there is NO WAY that I could have done it.

Liz provides a service that helps coordinate everything that needs to happen. She arranged for an Estate Sale on Saturday and a junk removal company to remove what was left after the sale. She has also arranged for the home to be deep cleaned, new carpet to be installed and for a charity to come pick up the furniture that didn’t sell!

Susan & her Dad

Oh, and I forgot to mention that Liz had much of the sorting through all of my Dad’s stuff done when I got there. She even went with me to shed a full SUV full of papers that dated back to the 80’s! (Did I mention that my Dad saves EVERYTHING! I mean every card anyone gave him, my grade cards, receipts for things from 1980...). It was a huge job. Liz got right to work with me on Friday and we sorted through the rest of the stuff to prepare for the Estate Sale on Saturday. I could never have done that by myself. I work full time and I’m also trying to get my Dad settled.

Beyond all the meticulous organizing and planning that Liz did for me, she also totally understands how hard this is. She has had to do the same thing with her sweet Mom. I underestimated how emotional this would be. Liz gracefully helped me through. Not to mention that she spent the entire weekend with me and even let me stay with her and she made me dinner (Note - I don’t think that’s a normal part of the service. I grew up next door to Liz on Kingsley Trail! But who does that?!!). She knew how hard it would be to stay at my Dad’s. I had no idea how hard this would be.

I HIGHLY recommend Liz’s service. I do this, not because she is a close family friend. I do this because believe me, you are underestimating how much coordination this takes not to mention the heartbreak. Liz will get things done quickly and efficiently for you. It is well worth the spend.

Did I mention that within 1-2 weeks of work, the house will be on the market.  Time is money. Don’t spend months doing this yourself. If I did this job by myself it would have taken several months and trips back to MI.

Update: the house sold the first day!
